This cake is soooo delicious. And I bet you won´t be able to know which secret ingredient is used for the base.
It´s beans!
I have been using legumes a lot in past few monhts. Mainly they help me as a cake for a breakfast after a workout in a gym. It is a fantastic way how to fuel your body with a good source of protein and carbs and enjoy something sweet without regrets.
550g cooked red beans
5 scoops (150 g) of non flawoured protein powder
1 packet of baking powder (12g)
3 cups of water / plant based milk
70g of cocoa powder
2 TSp of cinnamon
1 PBS of flax seeds + 3 TBS of water
A sweetener of your choice
The cream
1 can of coconut milk
2 big ripes bananas
1/2 85% chocolate bar
The first things needs to be done a day before. Place the coconut milk into your fridge at least for 12 hours.
For the dough mix your beans , an "egg" from flax seeds + water and water/milk in a blender. Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes on 180 °C.
Whip only the coconut cream (without the water) with mashed bananas. Melt your chocolate on stove and pour to the coconut-banana cream. The last step is to cover your chocolate bean dough and place to a fridge at least over night.
